N&C’s engagement session on Vancouver Island was filled with tons of laughter, snuggling and more mosquito bites than I can count!

We had originally planned on meeting at this location that neither of us had been to before (I am always up for an adventure and winging it when it comes to photo locations)! Natalie had sent me photos of a beautiful, old, stone bridge and I was super stoked to do their session revolving around it! When I got there to check out this bridge, I could not find an easy access point down to the creek (well let’s be honest, I couldn’t find a safe access point and I am eight months pregnant so it wasn’t worth risking it!) so we ended up deciding to just shoot on the trail and make the best of it!

Once we started their session the sun was shining just perfectly off to the side and we noticed a big empty field! There were wild flowers, beautiful tall grass and the perfect golden light!  It was such a nice little surprise spot for their engagement session and a photographer’s dream location… minus the mosquitos!
