Rebecca and Jordan’s maternity photography session could not have had more of a west coast vibe… minus the rain!!  Rathtrevor Park on Vancouver Island was the absolute perfect location with it’s creeping tide, beautiful mountain landscape and sand that is soft as can be!  I definitely cannot wait to book another session there in the near future… wink wink!

As I am at the end of my second (and last) pregnancy, I truly cherish maternity sessions. It is such a fleeting time in a woman’s life and one that truly deserves to be captured, in my humble opinion!  We go through aches and pains and tears and raging hormones and joy and even though while we are enduring all these changes in our bodies, it is a time to remember the strength, abilities and beauty our bodies possess!  It is a time to slow the heck down and nurture our bodies as it creates and builds life…. it literally still blows my mind!!

It is so wonderful getting the opportunity, and always an honor, to connect with so many different mamas to photograph where they are at in their maternity journeys.  I will never tire of these sessions and the beauty that lies within them.  My maternity photography sessions are thoughtful and intimate and I always shoot from my heart.  It is my aim to capture the beauty of pregnancy along with the necessarily quiet moments.  Now don’t get me wrong, there is always a lot of laughter and chatter about pregnancy and it is the stories that I love the most! We all have a funny or intimate story or two about our journey to becoming a mother and those moments should be celebrated as well!
