With a backyard ceremony in Nanoose and their reception at Cuckoo Trattoria on Vancouver Island, D&M’s micro wedding was one for the books!

After having to reschedule their original wedding date, Danielle and Mauricio opted for a beautiful, intimate backyard wedding in Nanoose Bay.  As I was leaving Ladysmith to drive to Nanoose it was a torrential downpour and the sky was black!  I mean if I’m being honest, a black sky wouldn’t get me down on a wedding day because I would get those nice rich and dark tones, however the rain is a deal breaker!  After everyone was ready and we drove to the ceremony location, the clouds lifted and the sun even made an appearance!  It could not have been timed more perfectly!!

Their reception was held at Cuckoo Italian Trattoria in Coombs, BC and it is by far my favorite wedding reception venue! With it’s charm and elegance, it really adds a touch  of class to a wedding… plus the food is phenomenal! Like seriously, I really take my food seriously and it is so delicious!
